Susan Rutten is a litigator who brings employment law and business litigation experience to Thomas Whitelaw, along with experience working with a broad spectrum of non-profit organizations. The majority of her practice involves serving on boards for community and charitable organizations, and advising them on a broad spectrum of matters, including state and municipal law, water rights, and land use issues.

Prior to joining Thomas Whitelaw, Ms. Rutten worked with Rutten & Morse and Shield & Smith.

Ms. Rutten received her BS in Economics from Santa Clara University in 1979. She received her JD from Pepperdine Law School in 1982.
